✨ Why This Festival Is Worth the Drive
Rockstalgia is the new rock festival on Ontario’s summer calendar, and it’s swinging for the fences in its debut year. The setup is straightforward: take a working agricultural fairgrounds an hour from Toronto, fill it with two full days of classic rock — real headliners, world-class tribute acts, and a serious push to spotlight homegrown Ontario talent — and build out the rest of the weekend around camping, food, and a marketplace that actually fits the vibe.
The headliner slot goes to Wide Mouth Mason, the Juno-recognized blues-rock band that’s shared stages with the Rolling Stones, AC/DC, and ZZ Top. Around them sits a genuinely strong run of tribute acts: Supernauts channeling Ozzy-era Black Sabbath, Permanent Waves doing justice to Rush, Destroyer Canada bringing the full KISS spectacle, Led by Zeppelin honouring Zeppelin without the costumes or gimmicks, and Fleetwood Nicks recreating peak-era Fleetwood Mac.
What sets it apart from a standard tribute-band bill is the Local & Loud Stage, where Ontario bands that came up through Rockstalgia’s own MainStage Challenge — PsyChlo, Burning Bridges, Elektrodriver, and others — get a real platform alongside the names you already know.

💡 A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Go
☀️ It’s rain or shine. Rockstalgia doesn’t cancel for weather, so pack sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and a light jacket for after dark.
🎫 Buy VIP and camping early. Both are limited and the festival expects them to sell out by May — don’t wait until the week of.
🚫 Leave the outside alcohol and glass at home. Bags get checked at the gate — sealed non-alcoholic drinks and snacks are fine, but alcohol has to come from the Beer Garden.
🪑 Bring a lawn chair or blanket. Most of the crowd watches from the grass, so come prepared to sit comfortably for a full day of sets.
🔁 You can come and go. Re-entry is permitted with a valid wristband, so a day trip into Orono for lunch is fair game.
