The Beeton & District Agricultural Society is marking a genuinely rare milestone in 2026: 170 years of continuous operation, one of the longest runs of any agricultural fair in Canada. The theme, “170 Years of Harvest Roots,” runs through everything from a traditional spinning demonstration inside the arena to a School Section built specifically around the anniversary for Kindergarten-to-Grade-8 students.

Classic fair fixtures — a Classic Car, Truck & Motorcycle Show, 4-H Achievement Day, Team K-9 dog shows, and the Ontario Truck and Tractor Pulling Association’s Garden Tractor Pull — run alongside brand-new additions for the anniversary year: a strolling comedy magician working the fairgrounds with close-up card and coin tricks, and a Human Truck Pull where teams of five drag a full-sized farm truck 100 feet for bragging rights.
