If you’ve been looking for a reason to finally make the drive up to Muskoka this summer, the Huntsville Festival of the Arts just handed you thirty-plus of them. Now in its 34th season, HfA is the kind of festival that still feels genuinely rooted in community — the kind where you bump into the performers at the coffee shop the next morning and everyone is just thrilled to be there.
The 2026 theme is “The Arts Are In Our Nature” — a fitting nod to the Muskoka wilderness that frames every outdoor show and lakeside movie. Running from June 1 through August 30, the season stretches across the whole summer, with something landing nearly every week: big-name concerts at the Algonquin Theatre, intimate shows at Hillside Farm, comedy nights at Canvas Brewing, free art crawls through downtown, and one glorious all-night art festival that takes over the streets.

Thirty-four years in, the Huntsville Festival of the Arts has earned its reputation as one of the best cultural festivals in Ontario — not because it’s flashy, but because it consistently delivers quality without losing its Muskoka soul. This isn’t a corporate production that could happen anywhere. It’s deeply tied to the town, the landscape, and the people who keep showing up year after year.
The 2026 lineup genuinely has something for everyone. You’ve got Canadian legends like Jim Cuddy and Steven Page headlining the Algonquin Theatre. You’ve got wild one-of-a-kind nights like Nuit Blanche North, where the whole of downtown Huntsville transforms into an open-air art festival until 2am. 🎬 Huntsville ART CRAWL — Free All Summer
June 1 – August 30 • Downtown Huntsville
A free self-guided art tour through local businesses, galleries, and studios all summer long. The 2026 crawl includes Walkabout Wednesday Gallery Tours, mural painting, Indigenous culture celebrations, and more. Pick up a map and go at your own pace — it’s one of those things that ends up being a genuine highlight of any trip to Huntsville.

One night a year, Huntsville’s downtown becomes an all-night multi-arts festival. Art installations, performances, pop-ups — it runs until 2am and it’s genuinely one of the most fun summer nights in Muskoka. Put it in the calendar.
