Ottawa Asian Fest Night Market — The 12th Edition
There’s a particular kind of buzz at a good night market — the smell of skewers and frying batter, the chatter of thousands of people, the slow shuffle from one stall to the next. Ottawa’s biggest Asian food and culture festival is back for year 12, taking over LeBreton Flats from Friday through Sunday. Free to get in, open until midnight on Friday and Saturday, and dogs are welcome.

Pro tip: Bring cash — all vendors accept it and some take debit/credit, but cash keeps you moving faster especially on Saturday nights when every stall has a line.

Ottawa Dressage Festival 2026 — World-Class Riding
Most people picture dressage as quiet and polite and a little hard to follow — then they go to an international one and realize it’s closer to watching a figure skater and a ballet dancer share one body, except that body is a 1,200-pound horse. One of Canada’s only CDI/CPEDI-sanctioned shows, happening right in Ottawa this weekend. Free admission. Free parking. No excuses.

First-timer tip: The Grand Prix Freestyle on Saturday evening is the best entry point — riders choreograph a full routine to music and it’s genuinely spectacular. Check riding times on Equestrian Hub before you go so you can plan around the classes you want to see.
🗓️ How to Do Both in One Weekend
The Night Market (LeBreton Flats) and the Dressage Festival (Wesley Clover Park) are about 20 minutes apart by car. Both are free. Here’s how to make the most of all three days.

🐎 Dressage starts Thursday — if you can make it out Thursday May 28, the competition is already underway at Wesley Clover Park. Friday classes run through the day; check Equestrian Hub for the schedule.
🏮 Asian Fest opens Friday at 12pm — the sweet spot is after 5pm when the night market energy really kicks in. Opening day is slightly lighter crowds than Saturday. Runs until midnight — a great Friday night out.

🐎 Dressage — morning to afternoon: Head to Wesley Clover Park earlier in the day. The Grand Prix Freestyle is Saturday evening — the marquee event of the festival. Riders perform choreographed routines to music. Don’t miss it.
🏮 Asian Fest — evening to midnight: After the Grand Prix Freestyle wraps, drive 20 minutes back into the city and hit the Night Market for the late shift. Saturday is the busiest and most electric night. Opens at 12pm, runs to midnight.

🐎 Dressage final day: Competition wraps up Sunday — closing day often has some of the best classes as riders push for final standings. Good for a morning or early-afternoon visit.
🏮 Asian Fest closes at 8pm Sunday — shorter day, lighter crowds. Best time to browse the vendors without the weekend rush. Great for families.

🚗 Doing both? The two venues are about 20 minutes apart by car — easy to combine in the same day. Wesley Clover Park has free parking on site; LeBreton Flats is best reached via O-Train (Pimisi Station) or with street parking nearby.
