✨ Why This Fair Has Lasted 184 Years
The Aberfoyle Agricultural Society has presented this fair for over 180 years, making 2026’s edition the 184th — a genuinely remarkable run for a fair serving a township the size of Puslinch. Board member Vinnie Klimkosz, who’s served for 21 years and now leads the Society alongside his wife Kim as vice president, put it simply: “We’re not an overly huge fair. It’s a nice-size community that attracts families and kids and brings the community together.”
This year’s theme, “It’s Harvest Time!”, leans into the Society’s stated mission of agriculture and food education — reminding visitors where their food actually comes from while still delivering a genuinely packed weekend of entertainment. The famous Antique Tractor Pull remains the fair’s signature draw, joined this year by the Marvels & Misfits Fire Show and an all-ages Glow Stick Dance Party in the community centre gym.
Puslinch sits just south of Guelph, making this an easy add-on for anyone in Guelph, Cambridge, Kitchener, or Milton looking for a genuine small-township fall fair experience without a long drive. The fact that it’s held every year on the Friday and Saturday after Labour Day gives it a reliable, easy-to-plan-around spot on the fall calendar.

👨👩👧 For the Kids
Saturday is packed with kid-focused programming: the Triple C Petting Zoo lets kids get up close with baby farm animals from 11am to 3pm, sheep shearing demonstrations run all day in the horse ring, and Zucchini Car Races and children’s games keep younger visitors entertained. Cleo the Clown wanders the grounds making balloon animals, and there’s even an indoor planetarium for a change of pace from the outdoor activities.
Friday night’s Glow Stick Dance Party in the community centre gym is open to all ages, making it a fun way to close out the evening as a family before Saturday’s bigger day. Between the two days, there’s genuinely enough kid-focused programming to fill a full weekend without repeating the same activities twice.
