โœจ Why This One’s Worth a Night Out
The Giovanni Caboto Club is Southwestern Ontario’s largest and oldest Italian club, and Grape Fest is the party where all of that heritage comes to life. It’s a festa in the truest sense โ€” food, wine, music and a little friendly competition โ€” built around the harvest traditions Windsor’s Italian community has passed down across generations.
After decades on hiatus, Grape Fest came roaring back to the club in recent years, and 2026 keeps it going as an established September fixture. This year it’s a focused, grown-up affair: two licensed 19+ nights, doors at 5 PM, running late with a full slate of live bands on each stage.
And then there are the contests. The grape-stomping and spaghetti-eating competitions are the beating heart of the whole thing โ€” equal parts messy, hilarious and fiercely contested โ€” and they’re exactly the kind of tradition that makes Grape Fest feel like nowhere else in the city.
๐ŸŽค Live Entertainment
Doors open at 5:00 PM and the music runs until 1:00 AM both nights. Here’s who’s taking the stage.
Friday, September 18 ยท Doors 5 PM
Nico & Joe Duo
Opens the evening, bringing the energy and setting the tone for a night of music and celebration.
Chiq Quattro Headliner
A high-energy group featuring some of Windsor-Essex’s notable musical talents, with a repertoire spanning the 1960s to today โ€” classic rock and pop favourites through to modern hits, backed by powerful vocals.
Saturday, September 19 ยท Doors 5 PM
Portofino Band
Kicks off the evening with their signature mix of Italian standards, disco, pop, rock, Motown and country โ€” guaranteed to get the party moving.
PopArt Headliner
Canada’s high-energy 80s synth-pop tribute โ€” new wave, synth-pop, rock and dance-floor favourites channelling Depeche Mode, Duran Duran, The Cure, INXS, Tears for Fears, Phil Collins and more.
๐Ÿ‡ The Signature Competitions
No Grape Fest would be complete without them โ€” the club’s two legendary contests run at points throughout the weekend.
๐Ÿ‡ Grape Stomping
Climb into the barrel, roll up your pants and crush as many grapes as you can, the old-fashioned way. Messy, competitive and a Caboto classic going back generations.
๐Ÿ Spaghetti Eating
A plate of pasta, a ticking clock and plenty of bragging rights on the line. One of the most-watched moments of the whole weekend.
๐Ÿ Food & Drink
Come hungry. The kitchen leans into Caboto favourites, and you can pair a plate with Italian wine or a cold one from the Beer Garden.

๐Ÿ’ก A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Go
๐ŸŽŸ๏ธ Buy in advance. Tickets are $10 ahead of time versus $15 at the door, and it means one less line to stand in when you arrive.
๐Ÿชช Bring photo ID. Both nights are strictly 19+ โ€” leave the kids at home this year, as Grape Fest 2026 is a licensed adult event.
๐Ÿ‡ Catch a contest. The grape-stomping and spaghetti-eating competitions run throughout the weekend โ€” ask at the door for timing so you don’t miss the action.
๐Ÿ Come hungry. Between the wood-fired pizza, fresh pasta, crostoli and cannoli, this is a festival that rewards an empty stomach.
๐Ÿš• Plan your ride home. It’s a licensed event running to 1 AM โ€” sort out a designated driver or rideshare before the night gets going.
Raise a Glass for a Good Cause ๐Ÿท
Grape Fest is more than a party. A portion of every year’s proceeds goes to the Giovanni Caboto Club Scholarship Fund, helping local students pursue their educational goals โ€” so a night of food, wine and music also gives back to the community it celebrates.
