This isn’t just a food festival with ribs on the menu — it’s a full-blown BBQ competition, with seven travelling ribbers setting up their smokers in the north lot of Erin Mills Town Centre and going head to head for three straight days. The smell alone is worth the drive from anywhere in the GTA.

It’s run by the Rotary Club of Mississauga and the Rotary Club of Mississauga West, and every dollar from the entry fee, the bar, and the raffle goes back into the community. Over the past 20 years the event has put more than $2.1 million into local causes, with the lion’s share now supporting the Trillium Health Partners Foundation.

Add a full live music lineup on the main stage every afternoon and evening, a dedicated Kids Zone with its own daily schedule, and a VIP option if you want to skip the ribber lines entirely, and you’ve got a weekend that’s easy to build a whole visit around — not just a quick stop for takeout ribs.

Running all three days, the Kids Zone has its own packed schedule — sports games are on from open to late afternoon every day, with stage shows and special visits layered on top.

Kids can also meet Peel Regional Police, CN Police, and Metrolinx Special Constables, and check out their cruisers up close.

If you’d rather skip the lines and watch the bands from the best seats on the lot, the VIP package covers all three days with in-and-out access, a Fast Pass for the ribber lines, and entry to the private covered VIP tent.

One pass per adult; kids 12 and under get free VIP admission with a paying adult. Buying online and picking up before July 9th also gets you a $5 gift certificate.

🚗 Getting There & Parking

Ribfest sets up in the north parking lot of Erin Mills Town Centre, at the corner of Erin Mills Parkway and Eglinton Avenue West — reachable from the 401, 403, and 407.

By transit: The Erin Mills Town Centre Bus Terminal sits right at the back of the mall, just steps from the festival site.

Parking: Plenty of parking is available around the mall, with accessible permit spots near the entrance.

Ribfest is the Rotary Clubs of Mississauga and Mississauga West’s biggest annual fundraiser, run by some 250–300 volunteers each year.
