✨ Why This Festival Matters
Summerfolk is more than a music festival—it’s a five-decade-old institution celebrating folk, roots, and world music at the heart of Canadian culture. What began as a backyard gathering has become one of the country’s most beloved musical weekends, known for blending contemporary artists with traditional musicians, and for its unwavering commitment to community.
Set on the shores of Georgian Bay, Summerfolk offers something rare: a festival where family, discovery, and genuine connection are woven into every corner. The iconic Stan Rogers Memorial Amphitheatre—carved into limestone overlooking the water—anchors the experience with a sense of place and legacy. Whether you’re discovering new music, reconnecting with folk traditions, or simply soaking in the waterfront atmosphere with thousands of music lovers, Summerfolk delivers authenticity.
The 51st edition brings 50+ Canadian artists across six stages, from JUNO-winning headliners to emerging voices. Add an artisan marketplace, kids village, workshops, and world-class food, and you’ve got a complete festival experience rooted in genuine hospitality.
