The World Cup’s knockout rounds are in full swing, and there’s no better place in the city to watch than the grounds of Fort York and The Bentway. Every match is broadcast live across all festival zones on massive screens, with 30+ food vendors from around the world, main stage entertainment, and interactive experiences — a soccer-themed Ontario mini-golf course, LEGO builds, student-built Soccer Bots, and the Tkaronto Market of Indigenous vendors — running between the games. The final is July 19, so this weekend’s crowd energy will be serious.

⚠️ Tickets must be booked online in advance — no gate sales, and free GA tickets have all been claimed. Chariot Fest Toronto 2026

Jul 10–12 • 54th annual Ratha-Yatra • three days, three locations

One of Toronto’s longest-running summer traditions unfolds in three acts: a 12-hour kirtan at the Hare Krishna Temple on Friday, then Saturday’s showstopper — three ornate, 40-foot chariots hand-pulled down Yonge Street from Yonge & Edward to Queens Quay amid drumming, dancing, and chanting (spectators are invited to join, not just watch). The party then moves by ferry to Centre Island for the rest of the weekend: classical Indian dance, an artisan bazaar, Island Yoga on Sunday, and a free vegetarian feast for everyone.

Gerrard Street East closes to traffic between Coxwell and Glenside and becomes one continuous stretch of South Asian street food, live music, dance, and marketplace stalls — the organizers bill it as the largest street festival in North America, and 24 years in, the strip earns it. The big 2026 addition is the debut Bangladesh Pavilion on Rhodes Avenue: Baul music, Jatra folk theatre, Alpana painting, kite flying, and Bangladeshi street food like fuchka, pitha, and rosogolla, running noon to 11pm both days.

Canada’s largest free Latin street festival closes St. Clair Ave West from Winona Drive to Christie Street and packs it with 40+ dance companies, live bands, and DJs across multiple stages — salsa, cumbia, bachata, Colombian and Peruvian folkloric groups, and a Latin swing orchestra, with free dance lessons for all skill levels running through the weekend. Hundreds of thousands turn out, and the restaurants and shops of Hillcrest Village stay open and busy the entire time.

🚇 The full strip is closed to cars and the 512 streetcar is rerouted, so come on foot from St. Clair West Station or a connecting bus. Multiple entry points along the strip — there’s no single gate. Wear comfortable shoes and bring sun protection; shade is scarce on open pavement.

Guild Festival Theatre Family Fest 2026
