📍 Preston St, Little Italy
Italian Week Ottawa 2026 — Grand Finale Weekend
June 11–21 (full week) · This weekend is the closing street festival
Italian Week Ottawa has been running for eleven days, and this is the weekend it all builds to. Preston Street stops being just Preston Street and turns into a slice of Italy, with the masterclasses and quieter gallery tours of earlier in the week giving way to a full street party finale. It overlaps directly with both the Ferrari Festival and the Ottawa Italian Festival below — all three are really one big weekend in Little Italy.
This Weekend in Little Italy
🍕 Pizza crawl, gnocchi-making and cocktail masterclasses through the week building to the finale
🎵 90s Italian dance party & Feast of St. Anthony events close out the celebrations
🎨 Gallery tours and the Preston Street Criterium bike race round out the program

Ottawa Fringe Festival 2026 — “Fringe Out Loud!”
June 18–28 · This weekend: opening stretch, 62 companies across 10+ venues
Something wonderfully chaotic takes over downtown Ottawa every June, and this weekend is the start of it. Over 62 theatre companies fill Arts Court, La Nouvelle Scène and a handful of other stages with comedy, clown shows, gothic horror, musical theatre, and everything in between — entirely uncensored, entirely lottery-selected. It’s an easy festival to drop into for an hour between other plans this weekend.
Worth Knowing
👓 $5 Fringe Pin required once, then $14 per show — 100% of ticket revenue goes to the performers
🏃 Lottery-selected lineup means no curation — you might catch the best or weirdest show of your year

The 46th Ottawa Jazz Festival fills Confederation Park and the National Arts Centre with eleven days of jazz, soul, funk and global rhythms — and this opening weekend has a genuinely strong run of headliners. There’s dozens of free daytime shows too, so you can wander through on a break and still catch something worthwhile before paying for anything.

For three days every June, Preston Street — Corso Italia — closes to regular traffic and fills with more than 50 Ferraris alongside Maseratis, Lamborghinis, Alfa Romeos and classic Vespas. It’s the 19th annual edition, organized by the Ferrari Club of America’s Ottawa Chapter, and it runs in direct conjunction with Italian Week Ottawa and the Ottawa Italian Festival — really, all three are the same weekend on the same street.

Ottawa Italian Festival 2026
June 19–21 · The Grand Finale Weekend of Italian Week Ottawa
This is the big one for Little Italy — the cars stop, the patios overflow, and the neighbourhood becomes, briefly and gloriously, a piece of Italy. Over 100 Italian cars parade past the crowd, Latin dancing takes over Friday night, stilt walkers and inflatables keep the kids busy, and the best Italian restaurants in the city throw open their patios for the 200,000-plus visitors who show up every year. It’s loud, it’s free, and it overlaps completely with the Ferrari Festival and Italian Week above.

Nearly 500 acres of grounds give it room to breathe, with a covered pavilion so rain doesn’t shut things down. Two full days of free programming, and the 2026 edition is shaping up to be the biggest yet.
Highlights
🏅 Competition Pow Wow with over $100,000 in prize money and 200+ dancers and drummers
🪐 Drone light show Saturday night, plus Inuit throat singers, Métis jigging and Ojibwe Spirit Horse encounters
