For over 25 years, Art Toronto has been the gathering place for Canada’s art community and international collectors. Why Art Toronto Matters
Since its founding in 2000, Art Toronto has evolved into the pre-eminent forum for displaying contemporary art in Canada. Unlike mega-fairs that dilute focus across dozens of global art scenes, Art Toronto maintains a distinctly Canadian identity while engaging the international market. Opening Night & Special Events
🎭 Opening Night Benefit (Thu, Oct 29)
4:00–10:00 PM. This exclusive evening benefits the McMichael Canadian Art Collection in Kleinburg. Network with collectors, artists, and gallerists in an intimate setting. VIP access and special offerings available.

Throughout the fair, curators, artists, and critics discuss contemporary art themes. Docent-led tours highlight works and stories behind the pieces.

Art Toronto’s 100+ galleries represent a genuine mix of Canadian and international galleries with strong ties to the Canadian art market. You’ll see familiar names like Patel Brown (Toronto/Montreal), Daniel Faria Gallery (Toronto), and David Mirvish (Toronto), alongside international galleries from New York, Mexico City, London, Sydney, and beyond.
What distinguishes Art Toronto is its commitment to highlighting Indigenous artists and work by artists of colour. First Nations, Inuit, and Métis artists are featured in greater numbers than most fairs, reflecting growing collector interest and institutional support for diverse voices in contemporary art.

Budget 3-4 hours minimum for a meaningful visit. Collectors often spend a full day, attending talks and returning to galleries multiple times. Casual visitors can enjoy highlights in 2-3 hours.

Metro Toronto Convention Centre is downtown on the waterfront. Easy TTC access via streetcar, subway, or commuter rail. Street and paid parking available nearby.

The venue has food options on-site. Plenty of restaurants in the downtown core nearby. Plan for breaks — art viewing is engaging and can be tiring!
