JAMBANA One World Festival is a celebration of Emancipation Day and Canada’s growing multicultural identity. Since 2009, when Jones & Jones Productions first held the festival at Downsview Park with over 45,000 attendees, JAMBANA has evolved into Canada’s premier African and Caribbean cultural celebration, drawing a diverse crowd from across Ontario and beyond to experience world-class reggae, soca, and Caribbean performances.

What makes JAMBANA special is its commitment to family. This isn’t a late-night concert series — it’s a full day of food, music, arts, crafts, and cultural connection that welcomes everyone from toddlers to grandparents. The festival represents decades of community building by Denise and Allan Bucka Jones, whose roots in reggae go back to 1987, and whose legacy continues through this celebration of sights, sounds, and tastes that define Canada’s African and Caribbean communities.

Headliner Glen Washington, along with Exco Levi & High Priest, Kairo McLean, Pan Masters, and other acclaimed performers, anchor a lineup that brings authentic Caribbean energy to Brampton Sports Park, all with free admission and food vendors serving dishes that transport you to the islands.

JAMBANA 2026 runs 1:00 PM to 8:30 PM at Brampton Sports Park, with continuous live entertainment, food, arts and crafts, and family activities throughout the afternoon and evening. The lineup celebrates reggae, soca, and the sounds of the Caribbean diaspora, hosted by Master T and Tanya Mullings.

Brampton Sports Park (also known as CAA Centre or Powerade Centre) is located at 7575 Kennedy Road South in Brampton, easily accessible from Highway 407 and major routes throughout the Greater Toronto Area and Peel Region. Ample parking is available on-site at the sports complex.

Location: Brampton Sports Park (CAA Centre), 7575 Kennedy Road South, Brampton, ON L6W 4T2 — on the east side of Kennedy Road, just north of Highway 407.

Parking: On-site parking at Brampton Sports Park. Arrive early to secure a good parking spot, as this is a popular venue during peak event days.

💡 A Few Things Worth Knowing

🌞 Bring sunscreen and a hat. The festival runs 1 PM to 8:30 PM — you’ll be in the sun for much of the afternoon. Pack sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to stay comfortable.

💵 Bring cash and cards. Food vendors and artisan booths may accept both cash and card, but it’s wise to bring both to avoid missing out on any vendor.

History & Legacy 🎶

JAMBANA One World Festival’s roots go deep. In 1987, Denise Jones and Allan Bucka Jones launched Reggae On Yah, an all-night reggae concert at The Great Hall in Toronto. From there grew Reggaebana in 1993, which became one of Caribana’s most anticipated events, featuring legends like Shaggy, Half Pint, and Beenie Man. Air Jamaica Day followed, drawing 20,000+ attendees to Gage Park. Today, JAMBANA represents the evolution of three decades of community and cultural celebration.
