Newmarket Community Craft Beverage Festival 2026
There’s a particular kind of weekend that Ontario does really well: good local beer, a field full of people in a great mood, and music that makes you stay longer than you planned. The Community Craft Beverage Festival is exactly that — and on June 5 and 6, 2026 it lands in Newmarket with a brand-new home behind the Municipal Offices, overlooking the Tom Taylor Trail.
The whole idea is to put Ontario breweries, cideries, distillers and producers front and centre, with samples poured by the people who actually make the stuff. Over 15 craft producers, food vendors, life-size games, a Bark Zone for the dog, and live music all weekend — built as one great event with four distinct experiences across the two days. ✨ Why This One’s Worth It
Plenty of beer festivals are just a tent and a queue. This one leans into the “community” in its name. The point isn’t to drink as much as possible — it’s to taste widely, in small 4oz and 8oz pours, and actually meet the brewers, cider makers and distillers behind the labels. It’s a genuinely good way to discover your next favourite Ontario producer.
The 2026 edition moves to an open-air setting behind the Newmarket Municipal Offices, overlooking the Tom Taylor Trail and a short stroll from Fairy Lake. It’s green, it’s walkable, and it’s an easy spot to spend a few hours with a drink in hand and music in the background.
And there’s more going on than just the bar. Between life-size games, a Bark Zone for your dog, free massages, a Muay Thai demo, retro vinyl, line dancing and a full-on twilight disco party, the festival is structured so each session has its own personality. You’re picking an experience, not just a time slot.

🎧 Opening Retro Dance Party — Dave’s Vinyl Party
The kick-off. A vinyl-spinning DJ, a giant mural, and that buzzy opening-night energy. Dance to the retro hits you already know by heart while you work your way through the first round of samples.
Sat · June 6 · 12:30 – 2:30pm
🤝 Beginner Line Dancing — Cheatin’ Hearts
No experience needed. The band Cheatin’ Hearts walks you through beginner-friendly line dancing across three short sessions (12:30, 1:15 and 2:00pm). This overlaps with the family-friendly afternoon, so it’s a fun one to do with the kids.

🏆 Battle of the Beverages — You Be the Judge
The competitive heart of the weekend. Producers go head-to-head across categories like Best Beer, Best Non-Beer Beverage, Best Low/No-Alcohol Option, Most Instagrammable Beverage, Best Booth Design, and a People’s Choice Award decided by fan voting. Your tastings double as ballots.

💃 Twilight Disco Party — Soul Mates
The grand finale. Soul Mates bring live disco, funk and dance hits — think Earth, Wind & Fire, Chic, Donna Summer — to close out the night. Bring your glow-in-the-dark accessories and a bit of disco flair. This is the dance floor to be on.
🎯 Beyond the Bar: Activities
Most of the extras run during Saturday’s daytime hours, which is also the most family-friendly stretch of the weekend.
🥊 Muay Thai Demo
A live on-stage demo from BMT Gym (Better Muay Thai). Saturday at 3:00pm.
🎯 Blaster Box
A Nerf shooting game testing your aim and reaction speed — win stickers and plushies. Saturday 12–4pm.
💆 Protégé Massage
Free massages courtesy of Protégé. Saturday 12–5pm.
🎨 Face Painting
Zany Zebra brings the colour during the kid-friendly afternoon session. Saturday 12–4pm.
