✨ Why OssFest Is Worth the Trip
Ossington Avenue has been called one of the coolest streets in the world, and once a year the Ossington BIA shuts the whole strip down to cars and hands it over to pedestrians for the day. Ten editions in, OssFest has become one of Toronto’s go-to summer street parties, packing three short blocks between Dundas St W and Queen St W with more energy than streets three times the size.
What sets it apart from a lot of street festivals is that there are no food trucks — the restaurants and cafes that make Ossington famous set up extended CafeTO patios instead, so you’re eating and drinking from the actual businesses that give the strip its reputation. Add a curated street market of local vendors, all vetted and approved by the BIA, and a full day of live music on the North Stage.
The 2026 lineup is headlined by Carole Pope with Tim Welch, backed by a day-long bill of Toronto acts spanning folk, pop, and everything in between. It’s free, it’s all-ages, and it’s dog friendly, which makes it an easy one to build a Saturday around.

Beyond the North Stage, the strip fills up with a curated market and extended dining. Every third-party vendor is approved directly by the Ossington BIA, so the market stays tightly tied to the neighbourhood rather than a generic craft fair lineup.

🚶 Getting There
Ossington Avenue closes to vehicle traffic for the festival, so this is not a drive-and-park kind of day. Transit or walking is the way in.
Streetcar: Take the 501 Queen or 505 Dundas streetcar to Ossington Avenue, right at the south or north end of the festival strip.
Parking: Street parking on Ossington itself won’t be available during the festival — look for paid parking on Queen St W or Dundas St W nearby instead.

💡 A Few Things Worth Knowing Before You Go
🐶 Dogs are welcome. OssFest is a dog-friendly, family-friendly event, but expect big crowds — a shorter leash and a calm dog make the day easier for everyone.
🍴 Skip the food-truck expectation. This is a food-truck-free festival — plan to eat at the restaurants and patios along the strip instead, and expect them to be busy.
☔ It runs rain or shine. There’s no backup date, so dress for the forecast rather than hoping for a cancellation.
🚇 Leave extra time on transit. The 501 and 505 streetcars get busy on festival day, and Ossington itself is closed to cars, so build in a buffer to walk in from Queen or Dundas.
