✨ Why This Festival Is Worth Your Weekend
There’s something exciting about catching a festival in year one. Before the lineups get leaked months in advance. Before the logistics are polished to a sheen. The Route 905 Country Festival is built by people who clearly love both country music and their city — and the result is a debut that punches well above its weight.
The name says everything about the intent. The 905 is the Golden Horseshoe — Hamilton, Ancaster, the communities that have long driven to Toronto or London for a proper country festival. Route 905 says: you don’t have to anymore. The fairgrounds come alive on July 24 and 25, and the artists they’ve booked are the real deal.
Two JUNO-winning Canadian artists, an American Idol winner, a Diamond-certified songwriter, rising Canadian voices, and a competitive Breakout Artist Showcase that gives local talent a real stage. As first editions go, this one is hard to ignore.
🎸 The 2026 Lineup
Two nights of country, split between homegrown Canadian pride and American firepower.
🎸 Friday, July 24 — Gates at 3:00 PM
Brett Kissel — Headliner
Canada’s most decorated country artist brings 23 CCMA Awards, 3 JUNO Awards, 5 platinum singles, 12 gold singles, and 20 top-10 radio hits to Ancaster. His 2025 album Let Your Horses Run is the latest chapter in one of the strongest careers in Canadian country. This is the kind of headliner that makes a debut festival credible immediately.
Jade Eagleson
The 2025 CCMA Male Artist of the Year, with over 335 million global streams, a CCMA Album of the Year win in 2024, and back-to-back Entertainer of the Year titles in 2023. Eagleson is arguably the hottest name in Canadian country right now — having him on Friday is a serious get.
Madeline Merlo
A platinum-certified BC-born songwriter with a catalogue that gets more sure-footed with every release. Her voice has a range that translates effortlessly from a radio hit to a live festival stage.
Ryan Langdon
A rising Canadian country artist making his case on bigger stages. Friday at Route 905 is exactly the kind of slot that defines a career trajectory.
Route 905 Emerging Artist Showcase Winner
The winner of the Breakout Artist Showcase (presented with 93.9 Hot Country and Birthday Cake Records) earns the opening slot on Friday. A local artist. A real stage. A real crowd. Watch the showcase competition at route905.ca for updates.
🎸 Saturday, July 25 — Gates at 3:00 PM
Chase Rice — Headliner
A 10x Platinum artist and Diamond-certified songwriter with 2.2 million albums sold and over 2.1 billion streams. His back-to-back No. 1 country radio hits “Eyes On You” and “Drinkin’ Beer. Talkin’ God. Amen.” are Saturday-night energy in record form. Rice is the kind of performer who turns a field into something that feels much bigger.
Chayce Beckham
The American Idol Season 19 winner made history as the first winner to perform original music throughout the competition. His breakout hit “23” hit Platinum on both sides of the border and climbed to No. 1 on Country Airplay. This is an artist with serious live credentials.
Tyler Braden
A Southern rock-influenced country voice who’s been quietly building momentum across the country music scene. The kind of artist who tends to surprise people who haven’t caught him live yet.
Angelica Appelman
One of several emerging Canadian artists on the Route 905 bill, bringing fresh energy to a lineup that’s otherwise stacked with established names.
Andy Colonico
A local and regional presence rounding out a Saturday card that stretches from homegrown talent all the way to Diamond-certified headliners.

💡 Tips Before You Go
🎫 Book your parking pass early. On-site parking is available but spots are limited. Grab it at the same time as your tickets via Showpass to avoid scrambling closer to the date.
🤴 VIP is worth considering for a first visit. The dedicated VIP entrance, front-of-stage access, and private lounge make the overall experience significantly more comfortable, especially for a new event where GA logistics are still being dialled in.
🥊 Pack your lawn chair. Lawn chairs are permitted (max 23” x 22” x 24”) and there’s a dedicated area. The property has some elevation, so sitting at the back still gives decent sightlines.
👜 Leave the big bag at home. Strict bag policy — clutch or purse up to 6” x 9” only. No backpacks, drawstring bags, or duffels. Medical and diaper bags are subject to security approval.
🚫 No re-entry. Once you leave the venue, you’re out. Plan accordingly — anything you need for the evening should come in with you at the start.
📷 Leave the DSLR behind. No professional cameras or detachable lenses. Cell phone photos and videos are fine.
👪 Bringing the kids? Children 10 and under are free, and Route 905 is an all-ages event. It’s a genuinely family-friendly afternoon before things get louder in the evening.
