🚨 Biggest mix-up risk this weekend: London hosts THREE separate free African/Caribbean/Latin cultural street festivals, all on Saturday, September 5 — Afro Fiesta (Dundas Place, 4–11pm), Salvadorian Fest (Covent Garden Market, 4pm–midnight), and African Caribbean Mosaic (Gibbons Park, 11am–9pm). These are different organizers at three different venues a short drive/walk apart downtown, not the same event listed three times — see the London section below for exact addresses.

One of Ontario’s oldest continuously running fairs — cattle, sheep, poultry and horse shows, a legendary pie auction, and offbeat contests from a rooster crowing competition to outhouse races. Nightly headliners: Adam Butcher (Thu), Kelsi Mayne (Fri), The Road Hammers (Sat), Dave Wilson (Sun).

Paris Fair 2026
Thu–Mon · Chris Lane Sat, Brett Kissel + Lindsay Ell Sun
168 years of Brant County agricultural heritage, with the twist that both weekend headline concerts — Chris Lane Saturday, Brett Kissel with Lindsay Ell Sunday — are included in the $20 daily gate price, not sold separately. Daily demolition derbies, livestock shows, and the 50-year-running Campbell Amusements midway round it out.

Goderich Salt & Harvest Festival
Thu–Sun · Big Wreck headlines Saturday
Goderich sits directly above the world’s largest underground salt mine, and this festival brings that heritage above ground — VR mine tours, mine rescue demonstrations, and a Salt History Walk, most of it free. Live music runs all four days: Sal’s Alley (Thu, free), Spice & Spears (Fri, $30/$10), an inaugural Battle of the Bands (Sat, free), and Big Wreck headlining the Compass Minerals Concert (Sat).

Orangeville Fall Fair 2026

A 172-year-old Dufferin County tradition just outside Orangeville — full midway, truck and tractor pulls, dairy and livestock shows, and the Moms Motor Sports Demolition Derby running both Saturday and Sunday. A dedicated Kid’s Zone runs 10am–6pm both weekend days.

Mitchell Fall Fair 2026
Fri–Sun · “Fallin’ Into Fun” · Keterson Park
Ontario’s self-styled “Biggest Little Fair” — every Labour Day weekend since 1854. Compact and walkable, with an exhibit hall, livestock and 4-H shows, a midway, and traditionally a tractor pull and demolition derby. Friday’s official opening is at 6:30pm.

Durham Fall Fair 2026
Fri–Sun · “Pumpkins, Plaids, & Scarecrows!”
One of Ontario’s oldest community organizations, founded in 1858 as the South Grey Agricultural Society. A compact, walkable Grey County fair — horse and livestock judging, homecraft and baking, a midway, and traditionally a kiddie tractor pull Friday and a tractor pull Sunday.

Mildmay Fall Fair 2026
Likely Sep 11–13 — NOT this Labour Day weekend
Over 160 years of South Bruce fair tradition — a village parade, 4-H beef and dairy shows, a farmer’s Olympics and a demolition derby. Important: the Mildmay Agricultural Society hadn’t posted official 2026 dates as of publication, and the fair traditionally runs the first weekend AFTER Labour Day. That points to September 11–13, not this weekend — confirm on their Facebook page before planning a trip.

Afro Fiesta Festival 2026
Saturday · 4pm–11pm
Now in its second year — a Havana-meets-Lagos street party on downtown’s pedestrian Dundas Place, with live DJs and cultural dance across Afrobeats, Amapiano and Reggae, a jollof-and-jerk-chicken food village, an artisanal marketplace, and hands-on drumming workshops open to all ages.

Salvadorian Fest 2026
Saturday · 4pm–midnight
A free evening celebrating El Salvador’s traditions at Covent Garden Market — live entertainment, cultural performances, local vendors, and pupusas (griddled corn masa cakes) as the signature dish, served with curtido slaw and chimol salsa. Everyone welcome, roots or no roots.

African Caribbean Mosaic 2026
Saturday · 11am–9pm
Run by AfriVibe at riverside Gibbons Park — ten hours of Afro Pop, live saxophone, vocal performances and African-inspired Zumba, plus a vendor marketplace of African and Caribbean food, clothing and cultural items. The park has an on-site splash pad and playground, making it an easy full-day family outing along the Thames River.
